Eden Ascendant — Floating Gardens Above a Dying Megacity
Originally conceived for the ArtStation Neo Tokyo Challenge (2023), this project became an opportunity to revisit and completely reimagine the idea—expanding its scale, atmosphere, and narrative direction.
Inspired by a concept from Flora Silve, the world evolved into a darker industrial sci-fi setting where breathable oxygen has become a privilege of the elite. Massive white vessels now carry the last remaining gardens, suspended above a polluted megacity below.
This project focuses on scale, contrast, and environmental storytelling—exploring the tension between artificial utopia and environmental collapse.
Technical Highlights:
Niagara systems to simulate large-scale flying traffic and industrial smog.
Real-time reinterpretation of a 2D concept into a dynamic UE5 environment.
Post-processing and lighting designed to emphasize isolation and vertical depth.
